52nd Annual DuPage County Fair

WHEATON, Ill., July 25 /PRNewswire/ — The 52nd annual DuPage County Fair titled, “We’ve Got Moos for You…It’s Fair Time!”, takes place five days in July, from Wednesday to Sunday, July 26 – 30, at DuPage County Fairgrounds, 2015 W. Manchester Rd., Wheaton. Gates open each day at 8 a.m., and many events and attractions take place until midnight.

This fun, old-fashioned county fair is affordable for the whole family and jam-packed with all-star entertainment. New this year is pop star Ashlee Simpson with opener Ashley Parker Angel at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 26. In addition, country star Travis Tritt will grace the grandstand stage at 9 p.m. Thursday, July 27. Teen pop-star Jesse McCartney will perform at 8:30 p.m. Friday, July 28.

The Mayors of DuPage County will compete in the annual Mayor’s hog-calling competition and new this year is the Mayor’s cow-calling contest, both to be held at “high noon” on Saturday, July 29.

Pigs can’t fly, but they sure can swim! Returning this year are the famous Robinson’s Racing and Swimming Pigs. Featured on ESPN Sportscenter’s highlight of the day at last years fair, the pigs will race, both running and swimming, daily at 11:30 a.m.; and 1:30, 4:30, 6, 7 and 8 p.m.

The annual county-wide youth talent contest will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 29, in the Entertainment Tent. Fairgoers have come to expect the old favorites: two rodeos at 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, July 29, and two demolition derbies at 2 and 7 p.m. Sunday July 30. Livestock, agricultural science, horse show, calf birthing center, cow milking, and home economics exhibitions and competitions are so important to all county fairs, and DuPage is no exception.

Organized in 1955, the DuPage County Fair Association is composed of a 21-member volunteer board. A not-for-profit event, the annual county fair takes place with the help of the DuPage County 4-H program, which provides members, leaders, and some of the many volunteers who help serve the public visiting the fair.
