Elite Status Offers Mileage Plus Customers More Room and Comfort in United’s Economy Plus Seats

CHICAGO, Oct. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — United Airlines is offering Mileage Plus(R) members — and customers who want to join Mileage Plus — the opportunity to achieve 2006 elite status twice as fast by doubling their miles when traveling between Oct. 25 and Dec. 15 of this year.

To qualify for elite status, Premier(R) members must reach 25,000 Elite Qualifying Miles (EQM) or 30 Elite Qualifying Segments (EQS) by December 31, 2005. The threshold for Premier Executive(R) status is 50,000 EQM/60 EQS, and 1K(R) members need 100,000 EQM/100 EQS to qualify for elite status.
