PHILIPPINE AIRLINES TO LAUNCH FLIGHTS TO BEIJING

MANILA – Philippine Airlines (PAL) will commence a regular Manila-Beijing service on the 11th of November this year. The flight will operate three times a week, with departures from Manila every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday and return services from Beijing on the same day. PAL returns to Beijing, its third destination in China, after a 16 year absence. The airline already operates a daily service to Shanghai and four-times-weekly flights to Xiamen in Fujian province.

CEBU – Hilton International returns to the Philippines with the launch of its most recent Hilton Worldwide Resort on the tropical island of Mactan in Cebu, located ten minutes from Mactan International Airport and 25 minutes from Cebu City. EVA AIR ADDS FLIGHTS TO MEET BUSY WINTER SEASON DEMAND

TAIPEI – EVA Air is adding flights to Brisbane, Sydney, Auckland, Jakarta, Vienna and London, which begin with the start of its winter schedule on the 30th of October this year. EVA is boosting Brisbane services from three per week to four, and its Sydney flights from two to three per week. The Auckland flight code-shared with Air New Zealand will be increased from three flights per week to four. EVA is raising its Taipei-London service from five flights a week to six and lifting its Vienna service from three to five weekly trips. EVA is hiking its Taipei-Jakarta service from three to six flights per week. The Taiwan carrier has also scheduled 130 special charter flights on routes between Taipei and popular Japanese destinations from September through to December this year.

NORTHERN TERRITORY TO LAUNCH AUSTRALIA’S NEWEST INT’L CONVENTION CENTRE

CARLSON HOTELS WORLDWIDE EXPANDS GOLDPOINTS PLUS TO ASIA PACIFIC

THAI AIRWAYS INTERNATIONAL ADJUSTS WINTER PROGRAM

BANGKOK – Thai Airways International has made adjustments to its Winter Program. The carrier will start offering three flights per week on its Bangkok-Moscow route. PHNOM PENH – Cambodian carrier Siem Reap Airways International will begin a non-stop flight service from Hong Kong to the Cambodia destination of Siem Reap on the 28th of October this year. With an estimated travel time of two and a half hours, flights depart Hong Kong for Siem Reap on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday with the return service operating on the same day. Siem Reap Airways is introducing a promotional fare of US$250 for a round-trip ticket between Hong Kong and Siem Reap, valid from October the 28th to December the 31st, this year.

SILKAIR MOUNTS SERIES OF CHARTER FLIGHTS TO NANNING

SINGAPORE – Singapore-based SilkAir is operating a series of 11 direct charter services to Nanning, capital of China’s Guangxi province, from October to December this year. The first of the weekly charters started on 15 October 2005 and will continue over 10 weeks until the 24th of December this year. The flights, launched to coincide with this year’s China-ASEAN exposition, are the first-ever direct flights between Singapore and Nanning, one of China’s fastest growing logistic hubs.
