KEYSTONE, Colo., Jan. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- More than 65 of the best 10 to 15-year-old skiers and snowboarders in the country will compete Friday, Jan. 27 and Saturday, Jan. 28 at Keystone Resort in the first-ever Sports Illustrated For Kids Next Snow Search All-Stars event, presented by Kellogg's Frosted Flakes. These kids were named to the elite 2004 and 2005 NEXT Snow Search teams and selected to compete this year in a special All-Stars event to be televised on NBC Feb. 11 as the lead-in to the Olympic coverage.
The NEXT Snow Search is one of the most progressive and unique events in the industry featuring skiers and snowboarders, girls and boys all competing together in not just one event, but three events. It's not just about a test of all-mountain skills, personality and attitude count, as well, making this one of the most positive sports events.
Most of the athletes competing at Keystone dream of competing in the Olympics or the X Games. They're just a step or two away. Many compete in top-level events in skiing and snowboarding around the country.
The Sports Illustrated for Kids NEXT Snow Search event coincides with the 10th annual Winter X Games. Both events have infused energy into skiing and snowboarding and sparked a revolution in the action sports industry.
