The 2006 race course will start and finish on the College of the Redwoods campus in Fort Bragg. Runners and walkers will move along beautiful ocean bluffs most of the way including the just completed Pomo Bluff Park that borders Noyo Harbor, across the spectacular new Noyo Bridge and around the Georgia Pacific lumber mill property. The course is level on both paved and gravel roads.

"Truly whale watching has never been better," said Gilbertson, who coordinates the race for the Soroptimist Club of Fort Bragg. "The whale run and walk is one of the premier events of the Fort Bragg Whale Festival weekend (March 18 & 19). The whale festival celebrates the annual migration of thousands of gray whales as they pass our shores, heading north from Mexico to their summer home in the Arctic."
