Give Thanks for The Goring
Thanksgiving is the time for friends and family – two of the most important factors in The Goring’s ethos. A third factor is delicious dining and so it’s no surprise that The Goring has a marvellous menu planned to celebrate all things important on the 23rd November.
In tribute to our American friends, Head Chef Derek Quelch is transferring his wonderful skills in classic British cooking to create dishes that epitomise traditions from across the water. Authentic hors d’oeuvres of the pilgrims’ Pumpkin Soup and warming Clam Chowder are followed by delicious main courses such as Roast Turkey with chestnut and sweetcorn stuffing accompanied by the all-American favourite Sweet Potato, sustainment of the troops during the American Civil War. Banoffi pie, warm Chocolate Brownies and Maple Syrup ice cream are among the hearty homemade puddings, reminiscent of gingham tablecloths and the little house on the prairie.
So come and enjoy Derek’s compliment to this stateside celebration, and enjoy friends, family and fabulous food at The Goring.
