GrandCanyon.com Releases First Annual Grand Canyon Summer Travel Guide

Grand Canyon Summer vacation guide gives targeted tips to travelers.

Page, AZ (PRWEB) April 13, 2006 -- GrandCanyon.com’s First Annual Summer Travel Guide doesn’t say how big the Grand Canyon is, how wide it is, or how it was formed. And that’s fine by Karlyn Bunting, President of GrandCanyon.com, because “those aren’t the questions our customers ask. They ask us questions like ‘Where is the Grand Canyon?’ ‘How on Earth do I get there?’ ‘What’s the weather going to be like?’ and ‘Will my cell phone work?’”

Like their highly successful Spring Break Travel Guide (now in its 2nd Edition), GrandCanyon.com’s newly released Summer Travel Guide is available as a downloadable Adobe PDF format file on the company’s website. A “companion piece” to their popular “Grand Canyon Top Tours” brochure, the Grand Canyon Summer Travel Guide is full of practical information that travelers need, such as which airports to fly into, driving distances from major cities, and what to expect from the weather. In addition to the basic “How To’s,” the guide also offers many “insider tips” that Karlyn and his staff have gleaned from decades of living and working around Grand Canyon National Park.

For example, says Karlyn, “there’s a couple of restaurants in the Grand Canyon area that we locals gladly drive anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour each way to eat at. We’ll tell you about them, as well as how to find the Grand Canyon on MapQuest or Yahoo!, where to find lodging when the Grand Canyon hotels are booked, and what to do when Mom and Dad want to see the Grand Canyon, but the kids want to play in the water.”

While recent news headlines evoke images of tourists “sweating in their car for up to an hour just to get into the park,” GrandCanyon.com’s Summer Travel Guide tells you how to cut down on your wait time, or possibly eliminate it altogether. With gas prices expected to continue on their present upswing, the Summer Travel Guide gives suggestions on how to find the best deals at the pump.

“So far, customer response to the Grand Canyon Summer Travel Guide has been very positive,” says Karlyn. Mitzi S., an activity director from California describes it as “fabulous. I’ve read every single tip, and have even gone back to it two or three times to plan my trip, rule things out and what have you. If you’re a total ‘greenhorn’ and have never been there before, this is spectacular.”

People planning a Grand Canyon vacation for fall or winter will be able to find Grand Canyon Travel Guides geared toward their chosen seasons in the near future. You can also log onto the company’s blog and forum to share opinions and observations, or ask questions.
