Great North American RV Rally Sold Out

REDMOND, Ore., July 8 /PRNewswire/ — The Great North American RV Rally is next week, but parking spots are already sold out at the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center in Redmond, Oregon.

RVers are expected from every state, even from as far away as Florida and eastern Canada, and will be traveling to set up camp at the 132-acre facility in Redmond during the week of July 11-14. More than 5,500 rigs are registered for the event, bringing in an expected 12,000 people. The goal of the Rally is to educate RV owners — new ones and veterans — about the lifestyle, offering the latest information and showcasing new products, all in a fun atmosphere.

“RV rallies have been around for 30 years, but not all of them are open to people who own any type of RV,” said Bev Dalton, Rally Director. “Some are for motorhomes, others are for a particular model or manufacturer. Ours is for everyone. It’s entertaining and educational, and we have something for everyone.”

All Rally attendees have received parking assignments directing them where to enter the facility. They’ll then be guided to a specific spot by the parking crew. Once on site, they’ll be offered a variety of fun and educational activities daily.

Those who are interested in the latest RV products are invited to check out the hundreds of exhibit booths that will be set up in air-conditioned exhibit halls, along with jewelry, cooking utensils and clothes. Outside displays will offer participants the first glance of new 2006 models, as well as the chance to talk one-on-one with the designers. Participants will also have the option of test driving any of the models on hand. Motorhomes, fifth- wheels, travel trailers, slide-ins, pop-ups and tow vehicles will all be on display.

For many RVers, the best way to kick back and relax is to sit around and enjoy professional live entertainment, which will take place each evening. This year’s lineup feature performances by Ronnie Milsap, Debbie Reynolds, Pam Tillis and Triple Gold.

And since many RVers travel with their pets, the Rally makes pets feel at home and features a Dog Show, which is expected to have 100 dogs entered in a variety of categories — all with prizes.

The Rally is child friendly as well, with activities designed just for kids of all ages. Part of the kids program will again be the popular Oreo stacking contest.

Each day of the Rally will also be packed with educational seminars covering topics such as healthy cooking, chassis systems, RV troubleshooting techniques and RVing to Alaska. The seminars will be given by some of the foremost experts in the RV industry.

The Good Sam Club, Camping World President’s Club, Coast to Coast Resorts, Woodall’s and MotorHome and Trailer Life magazines host the Rally.
