Hawaiian Raises Industry Standard for Frequent Flyer Travel
Now More Seats for Fewer Miles, No Blackout Dates, One-Way Awards
HONOLULU, Jan. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Hawaiian Airlines, already recognized for its innovative loyalty program, has added two new groundbreaking features further elevating HawaiianMiles as the best frequent flyer program for travelers who love Hawaii.
A new three-tier award structure and one-way mileage awards -- both industry firsts -- offer HawaiianMiles members unprecedented control and flexibility over how they redeem their mileage for award travel on Hawaiian.
HawaiianMiles members can now mix and match one-way awards for any available seat on any scheduled flight, using up to 14 mileage award combinations. The new award tiers allow members to fly free with fewer miles. And if members have enough miles for a free one-way flight, but not the return trip, they can use their one-way award to dramatically reduce the roundtrip cost. They can even purchase miles if they don't have quite enough for a one-way trip.
Importantly, there are no blackout dates, restrictions, penalties, or roundtrip booking requirements. The result is more seats for fewer miles, more affordable Hawaii travel opportunities, and hassle-free booking for frequent flyer awards.
Mark Dunkerley, Hawaiian's president and CEO, said, "No other airline has handed so much control to its customers over how they use their mileage. Our new frequent flyer mantra is 'fly free when you want' and we've designed the airline industry's most flexible mileage awards system to make it possible."
At HawaiianAirlines.com, a customer-friendly, three-tiered awards structure -- SuperSaver, Saver, and AnyTime (see below) -- that lets HawaiianMiles members pick and choose from the mileage options. The awards concept mirrors the airline's pioneering Hawaiian Fare$hopper booking engine, which displays every flight option over a seven-day period.
TRANSPACIFIC FLIGHTS (ONE WAY)
SuperSaver: 17,500 miles Saver: 25,000 miles AnyTime: 35,000 miles
INTERISLAND FLIGHTS (ONE WAY)
SuperSaver: 5,000 miles Saver: 7,500 miles AnyTime: 10,000 miles
New members can sign up with HawaiianMiles online at HawaiianAirlines.com and immediately begin earning frequent flyer miles and other membership award benefits. Enrollment is free, fast, and there are no obligations or annual fees.
