Healthy Living and Wellness Education for Couples, Women and the Heart Conscious

CAMBRIDGE, Md., Nov. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina has announced a series of healthy living and wellness education retreat programs. Offered in partnership with Johns Hopkins and Shore Health System of Maryland, "Healthy Horizons Retreats" address health and wellness education and personal growth in each of three areas: maintaining a healthy heart, women's self-discovery and health issues and wellness for couples.

Physicians from Johns Hopkins Medicine and members of the Shore Health System clinical staff affiliated with Dorchester General Hospital and The Memorial Hospital at Easton will facilitate workshops exclusively designed for each program. The Healthy Horizons Retreats series will take place at the Hyatt Regency's 400-room luxury resort on the scenic Chesapeake Bay on Wednesdays through Saturdays during selected weeks from January through March 2006.

Each of the Healthy Horizons Retreats includes seminars and wellness evaluations; healthy cooking demonstrations; work with a personal trainer; consultations with a nutritionist; and time to take part in the recreational activities of the Resort.

The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay's Healthy Horizon Retreats include:

* "Find Yourself. Lose Yourself. A Woman's Retreat"
January 25-28; March 22-25
A guide to a woman's self-discovery and personal enrichment, the
retreat highlights relaxation techniques, physical and mental exercises
and other strategies for developing a healthy lifestyle. Sessions
include the health benefits of intimacy; stress reduction through
meditation; massage therapy; creative arts; culinary creations; the art
of belly dancing; and striptease aerobics.

* "Enhancing Vitality"
February 1-4
This couples-only escape provides the opportunity for self-discovery and
guidance for a healthy lifestyle. Sessions include personal wellness
evaluations, consultation on optimal aging and take-home strategies for
healthy living; exercise, nutrition, supplements and medications; the
emotional components of aging well; massage therapy; acupuncture,
massage and meditation; healthy culinary creations; and tai chi and
yoga.

March 1-4
This wellness program will emphasize ways to reduce stress, adopt
healthy behaviors and properly care for the heart. Sessions include
personal wellness evaluations, consultation on optimal heart health and
take-home strategies for healthy living; reflexology; stress reduction
through meditation; creative arts; pilates, tai chi and yoga; massage
therapy; and healthy culinary creations.
