Hotel Monteleone New Orleans Offers $99 Room Rate During Southern Comfort's Tales of the Cocktail, Aug. 18-21, 2005
NEW ORLEANS, July 28 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hotel Monteleone is featuring a discounted room rate from Aug. 18-21, 2005, during the popular culinary event, Southern Comfort's Tales of the Cocktail. The three-day event features dinner pairings, book signings, culinary demonstrations, a Dine and Design luncheon, entertainment, celebrity bartenders and more, with several of the events located at the Monteleone.
This $99 per night rate includes deluxe Accommodations at the Hotel Monteleone, one of the French Quarter's most famous hotels, between August 18 and 21, 2005.
Home to Tennessee Williams and his grandfather in 1951, and Truman Capote's claimed birthplace, the Hotel Monteleone was designated a literary landmark because of its history with countless authors, many of whom have used the Monteleone as a setting in their stories or novels. Today the hotel exists as its founder, Antonio Monteleone, envisioned it in 1886, a grand meeting place for both the famous and ordinary man.
