DULLES, Va., July 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- This summer's travel season is turning out to be one of the busiest in U.S. history, and low-fare airline Independence Air (NASDAQ:FLYI) is proud to announce a new fare sale that will extend great summer travel bargains right through the end of September. Special low fares will be available for sale over the next seven days that will make it even less expensive to travel to and from Washington, DC.

For travel from July 13th through September 30th on the off-peak days of Tuesday and Wednesday, lowest advance purchase one-way fares to/from Washington Dulles International Airport are as follows:

-- $29 to Greensboro, NC -- $39 to Boston, Charlotte or Rochester, NY -- $49 to Burlington, VT, Detroit, Greenville, SC or Columbia, SC -- $59 to Orlando, West Palm Beach, Fort Myers, Savannah or Portland, ME

Many flights connecting over Washington Dulles to/from Independence Air destinations across America are also on sale during that same period.

Travel must be purchased before midnight July 13th. Seats are available at FLYi.com, 800-FLY-FLYi and through travel agencies. Fares are limited and may not be available on all flights. Fare sale details and restrictions are seen below.

Independence Air fare sale fare rules: Lowest sale fares are available on Tuesday and Wednesday only. Slightly higher fares available other days of the week. Sale fares may require up to a 14-day advance purchase, are one-way, limited, and may not be available on all flights. Heavy demand for these sale fares could cause certain days to be sold out prior to the end of the promotion. Travel must be booked by midnight EDT 7/13/05 and is valid for travel between 7/13/05 and 9/30/05 only. Sale fares are not available on 9/02/05 or 9/05/05. Sale fares are non-refundable but reservations may be changed prior to departure for a $35 fee (only $25 if change is made at FLYi.com) plus any applicable difference in fare. Sale fares do not include segment fees of up to $6.40, the September 11th Security Fee of up to $5.00 and Passenger Facility Charges of up to $9.00. Bookings made through 1-800-FLY-FLYi are $5 higher per passenger. Fares are subject to change without notice.
