LONG BEACH, Calif., June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- On July 4th, the Queen Mary will be offering a "Country Salute to the USA" concert featuring SheDaisy, Neal McCoy, Fanny Grace, Tin Rooster and special guests plus a variety of tours and exhibits, three award-winning restaurants and an on-board hotel. This will be the first year in 21 years that the Queen Mary won't be holding their annual July 4th Tribute to America Fireworks Extravaganza due to very high financial demands from by the City of Long Beach.
Doors open at 1 p.m. for the "Country Salute to the USA" concert, which will be held in the Queen Mary Special Events Park. Tickets are $35 per person and include General Admission to the Queen Mary plus the concert. Tickets can be purchased in advance through Ticketmaster or at the Queen Mary ticket booth the day of the event. Available for purchase will be food, soda, alcoholic beverages and mechanical bull rides. Children 11 and under will be admitted free. No coolers or picnic baskets. This summer, the Queen Mary is offering an Annual Passport, available for purchase now through the end of December for $39.95/adults. $19.95/children (5-11). The pass entitles the pass holder to unlimited visits aboard the legendary ocean liner for one year from date of purchase. The pass is available for purchase daily during attraction operating hours at the Queen Mary ticket booths. Special events and certain tours are not included.
Guests can spend the day touring the historic ship with a self-guided tour, experience the special effects "Ghosts & Legends of the Queen Mary" show, explore a real Russian submarine or take one of three guided tours (Behind-the-Scenes, World War II or Ghost Encounters). Queen Mary general admission is $22.95 for adults, $19.95 for seniors and military and $11.95 for children ages 5-11 and includes a self-guided tour and the Ghosts & Legends show, celebrating five years. Additional attractions are available for an additional fee. The General Admission ticket to the Queen Mary does not include admission to the concert.
The parking fee is $10.00. Free Passport shuttles from downtown Long Beach and the AquaBus water taxi from the Aquarium of the Pacific will both be operating, and access from the Los Angeles area is available via the Metro Blue Line Trains.
