Priority Club(R) Rewards Members to Earn Triple Miles with Shanghai and Hainan Airlines

ATLANTA, Oct. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) (NYSE:IHG) (ADRs), the world's largest and most global hotel company, today announced the addition of Shanghai Airlines and Hainan Airlines as Priority Club(R) Rewards' newest airline partners.

Priority Club Rewards is IHG's guest loyalty program and is the largest and fastest-growing program in the industry. Its partnership with Shanghai Airlines and Hainan Airlines comes at the beginning of what is expected to be a tremendous period of growth in China's travel and tourism market. This market is projected to more than triple to $300 billion by 2014, according to the World Travel and Tourism Council.

To celebrate the addition of the airlines to its loyalty program, Priority Club Rewards members can earn triple miles on Flying Crane, Shanghai Airlines loyalty program, and Fortune Wings Club, Hainan Airlines loyalty program, through Dec. 16. Members begin earning triple miles with every qualifying stay, starting with the second stay, at any InterContinental(R), Crowne Plaza(R), Hotel Indigo(R), Holiday Inn(R), or Holiday Inn Express(R) property worldwide. Guests of Staybridge Suites(R) and Candlewood Suites(R) can begin earning triple miles with their first qualifying stay.

"China is a very important piece of the new global economy. By 2015, China will be the second-largest travel market in the world, trailing only the United States," said Steve Sickel, senior vice president, Loyalty Marketing, IHG. "Adding two of China's most popular airlines as partners, and allowing members to earn triple miles, are ways that Priority Club Rewards is providing flexibility to its members around the world."

The Priority Club Rewards partnership with Shanghai Airlines and Hainan Airlines reflects the growing importance of the Chinese market and IHG's commitment to providing value to Chinese consumers. IHG has made it easier to book a room and manage Priority Club Rewards points for these travelers by creating a Chinese language Web site at http://www.ichotelsgroup.com.cn.

Currently, IHG has 47 hotels in China, with another 28 hotels under construction.

To participate in the triple miles promotion, Priority Club Rewards members must register at priorityclub.com/double or call 1-888-211-9874 prior to staying at any of the more than 3,500 InterContinental Hotels Group properties worldwide.

Priority Club Rewards is the industry's first, largest and fastest-growing hotel loyalty program, with more than 26 million members. Compared to other hotel loyalty programs, it offers the greatest ease of use and features more sought-after benefits, including Points Transfer, Points Purchase, no blackout dates on Reward Nights and no point expiration. Additionally, members have the option to stay at virtually any hotel, even rivals' properties, with the "Any Hotel, Anywhere" prepaid lodging card. Members can also redeem points for airline miles on more than one dozen partner carriers, for auto rentals, on hundreds of products and gift certificates. It is also the only hotel loyalty program that offers members a Personal Shopper, a program that allows members to exchange their points for items not found in the Rewards Catalog, including gifts for friends and family.

Enrollment in Priority Club Rewards is free. Guests can enroll by logging on at priorityclub.com, by calling 1-888-211-9874 or by inquiring at the front desk of any IHG hotel worldwide.
