Jamul Indian Village Hosts Groundbreaking Gala Event on Saturday, December 10, 2005
JAMUL, Calif., Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The Jamul Indian Village, a federally recognized tribe, will break ground on its Jamul Casino, Hotel & Resort on its six-acre reservation in Jamul, California.
The gaming facility will be built in full compliance with the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA) and the Tribe's state compact. The construction phase for the casino and resort will create hundreds of construction jobs alone and when open will generate an estimated 1900 jobs producing tens of millions of dollars in overall economic activity for the local area.
"After years of struggle, blood, sweat and tears, the future has finally arrived," said Chairman Leon Acebedo. "The Jamul Indian Village is moving forward together in unity and in purpose."
