SEDONA, Ariz., Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ — L’Auberge de Sedona will welcome 34 of the nation’s finest plein air artists on October 29, 2005, in a celebration of Sedona’s natural beauty and long-standing commitment to the arts. The artists will converge for “Paint Out,” an open-air painting session at L’Auberge de Sedona’s elegant al fresco restaurant, Terrace on the Creek, to capture on canvas the exquisite backdrop of the Oak Creek River Valley. This event is also open to the general public to watch the artists in action.

En plein air, French for “in the open air,” is a spontaneous art form in which artists perform their creations outdoors, responding to the immediacy of the moment, reflecting the excitement of changing light and shadows.
