US Airways Starts Service Between Fabulous Las Vegas and the Island Paradise of Maui
TEMPE, Ariz., March 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- US Airways (NYSE:LCC) announces the start of new service from its Las Vegas hub to Kahului, Maui. US Airways now offers 60 non-stop destinations from Las Vegas, more than any other carrier.
In addition to the new service in Las Vegas, US Airways' Phoenix hub is also catching the "Aloha Spirit" by adding a second daily roundtrip to Honolulu, Oahu, and starting new service to two more Hawaiian Islands; Lihue, Kauai with four weekly roundtrips and Kona, on the big Island of Hawaii with three weekly roundtrips.
"The response to our Hawaii service has been tremendous, and we are excited to initiate our second phase of service," remarked US Airways Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing Scott Kirby. "Customers have made it clear that Hawaii is among their favorite destinations, and we are pleased to offer more service to the places they love to travel."
US Airways will provide the service with Boeing 757-200 aircraft, which have capacity for 190 passengers (14 first class and 176 coach class).
