(PRWEB) April 6, 2006 -- Luxury Travel Magazine announces the world's hottest new luxury hotels. The full list can be viewed online at http://www.luxurytravelmagazine.com.
"In compiling our list of the world's best new hotels, we uncovered the latest trends and hot spots in luxury travel," says editor Christine Gray. "A trend we noticed is that a large number of the best new hotels around the world have been designed by transforming wonderful historical buildings. Also, renowned architects, designers, chefs and spa brands are increasingly getting involved in new luxury hotel projects. The hottest exotic destinations in luxury travel this year include Chiang Mai in Thailand, Dubai, Oman, Morocco, South Africa, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives."
Among the award-winning new hotels in the U.S. are the St. Regis Hotel in San Francisco and The Setai in Miami. New Caribbean hotels include Le Sereno on St. Bart's, The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman, and the Fairmont Mayakoba on the Riviera Maya in Mexico.
Exciting new developments in Europe include many historic buildings being transformed into the newest luxury hotels. These hotels include Imaret in Kavala Greece, Convento Do Espinheiro in Evora Portugal, Bairro Alto Hotel in Lisbon, Palacio del Retiro in Madrid, among several more.
