Master Chef Hartmut Handke is Featured Judge for American Culinary Federation Hot Plate Competition
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Master Chef Hartmut Handke will preside over the third annual culinary competition at Columbus State Community College, Wednesday, August 31, beginning at 8:00 a.m. The big news this year is that the competition has shifted from one for students to an American Culinary Federation sanctioned Hot Plate Competition for which chefs can earn points for certification.

Joining Handke in the judging will be Chef Alex Darveshi and Kevin Goranski. Each participant pays a $50.00 entrant fee. Brian Hinshaw of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants is organizing the competition and can be reached for more information at bhinshaw@cameronmitchell.com or at 614-371-3061.
The Columbus Food and Wine Affair charity fundraiser event will be held Friday, September 23 at the Franklin Park Conservatory, 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Tickets are $75.00 and can be purchased at http://www.foodandwineaffair.com.
