Part of United’s Continuing Service Expansion in Mexico

Service Begins in Time for Spring Break

CHICAGO, Jan. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — As part of its commitment to international service and continuing expansion in Mexico, United Airlines today announced new service between Chicago and Puerto Vallarta, and Los Angeles and Cancun.* Service begins March 4, 2006. Flights are now open for sale.

“We are pleased to further expand our service in Mexico just in time for spring travel,” said Greg Taylor, senior vice president-Planning. “We are committed to providing our customers even more travel options to Mexico, and we are hopeful that the Department of Transportation will approve our pending applications for additional Mexico service.”

The new weekly Saturday service between Chicago and Puerto Vallarta will be provided by United on an A320 aircraft and is scheduled to increase to daily December 15, 2006.

The new weekly Saturday service between Los Angeles and Cancun also will be provided on a United A320 aircraft. Beginning June 8, 2006, the service will increase to daily and be offered on Ted — which features low fares, Economy Plus seating with more legroom, Tedevision, TedSelect SnackBoxes and participation in United’s award-winning Mileage Plus(R) program.

Applications still pending approval include service between Chicago and Cancun and between Los Angeles and both San Jose del Cabo (Cabo San Lucas) and Puerto Vallarta. The October 2005 route applications stem from a new bilateral agreement reached last year between the United States and Mexico.

Since last March, United has added four completely new Mexico routes to its schedule: Los Angeles-Cancun, Denver-Mexico City, Chicago-Puerto Vallarta and Chicago-San Jose del Cabo (Cabo San Lucas).
