MARVAC: NASCAR Fans and RV Lovers Discover the Best of Both Worlds
OKEMOS, Mich., June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Michigan International Speedway (MIS) on any given race week is a mecca for NASCAR fans and their RVs. NASCAR fans load up their pop-ups, fifth wheels, motorhomes, and even converted school buses, hit the road toward Brooklyn, Mich., and camp out for up to a week at the campgrounds in and around MIS.
Fans can park their RVs and camp at the MIS campgrounds such as the Walt Michal's RV Superstores Infield, Turn 2, M-50 and Brooklyn Highway campgrounds, Brookfest, Tree Farm, Northwood's and Northfield campgrounds.
MARVAC has member campgrounds near the speedway including Rockey's Campground in Albion, Juniper Hills Campgrounds in Brooklyn, Waffle Farms in Coldwater, and Greenwood Acres Campground in Jackson.
Many campgrounds, including the MIS campgrounds, open between the Saturday and Wednesday prior to the races so NASCAR fans and RV lovers can spend the full week camped out near the track. Get to the campgrounds early, show off your favorite driver memorabilia like flags and banners, and spend some time with your fellow NASCAR fans. RVers enjoy the many attractions near the raceway, including Cabela's of Dundee, the 225,000 square foot retail outlet that features wall-to-wall merchandise for camping, hunting, fishing and outdoor needs, and the attractions at the newly renovated speedway including the drivers and teams merchandise trailers, many different sponsors' interactive games and activities, and with pit passes get up close to the teams pit boxes. With all these activities there will be no shortage of fun.
The amenities of some of these campgrounds can include reserved campsites sized from 20' by 40' to 20' by 50', water spigots, shower trailers, fresh water, portable restrooms, dump stations and electrical hook-up.
