Midwest Airlines Increases Frequency on Three Popular Routes
MILWAUKEE, Dec. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Midwest Airlines today announced increased frequency in three popular Midwest markets effective February 12, 2006.
Markets benefiting from the frequency increases include:
-- Milwaukee-Boston, increasing to 5 roundtrips on weekdays
-- Milwaukee-Kansas City, increasing to 6 roundtrips on weekdays
-- Kansas City-Orlando, increasing to 2 roundtrips on weekdays
All of the additional flights will operate as Midwest Airlines Signature Service on new Boeing 717 jet aircraft -- featuring two-by-two wide leather seats with extra legroom and adjustable headrests and footrests. The airline's trademark baked-onboard chocolate chip cookies are offered on most flights, along with buy-onboard meals.
Today's announcement is part of a series of product and service enhancements focusing on customer value and convenience that America's top- rated carrier has launched throughout 2005. In the two Milwaukee markets, the frequency increases represent an early reinstatement of normal seasonal service pull-downs resulting from growing passenger demand, according to Scott R. Dickson, senior vice president and chief marketing officer. Dickson added that the increases reinforce the importance of Midwest's Milwaukee hometown -- where it is the market share leader -- and its Kansas City base of operations.
