SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 24 /PRNewswire/ — Adventure Collection members, understand the importance and growth of multi- generational travel, offering a variety of experiences to entice each individual, regardless of age.

According to the Travel Industry Association, more than five million annual family vacations include three generations. Multi-generational vacations are an excellent way to enhance family bonds and experience new cultures, with each family gaining something unique from the adventure.

Here are several family experiences from members of the Adventure Collection:

Buddy Bombard’s Europe plays host extraordinaire to many multi- generational family trips. Buddy’s unique cultural touring experiences and low-level ballooning adventures provide a multi-dimensional learning perspective that transcends age.

In the case of Barbara Miller of Kentucky, her 2006 Bombard trip to the Burgundy Region of France allowed her to share her love of adventure, culture, history, fine wines and dining with her daughter and granddaughter. “We were enthralled with the entire experience! Buddy was an amazing host, the crew knowledgeable and delightful, and the low-level flights absolutely breathtaking!”

Kate Woods of San Francisco, California, shared her love of Africa with her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren on a recent Bushtracks game-viewing expedition. The family traveled three countries by private plane to explore Africa’s distinct eco-systems. Each day they were lead by expert naturalists on hikes and jeep adventures to survey Africa’s amazing wildlife.

“We’ve already gone on a family theme park vacation and I wanted to expose my grandchildren to something different, something unique,” said Kate Woods of her Bushtracks experience. “Not only did they get to learn about the culture, but I got to learn a lot about them.”

Canadian Mountain Holidays is another member that takes families to new heights. CMH Family Adventures provide the ideal natural playground where all generations can share a unique experience, pursue individual interests and create a memorable vacation heli-hiking in the Canadian Rockies.

To date, Fred Noble has brought his daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren on a total of four CMH heli-hiking family adventures. While the main reason for his family adventure was to bond, Mr. Noble noted that it was an important learning experience. “They learned valuable social skills, such as getting along and sharing with others, and what they are capable of achieving if they try.”
