New Feature Makes Visiting the N.C. High Country Even More Attractive
BLOWING ROCK, N.C., Jan. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Travelers to the N.C. High Country area of Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk and Linville areas may now get some serious payback for visiting the scenic mountains. A new discount card called Universal Gold Pass offers deep discounts for lodging, dining, shopping and recreational activities.
Available at http://www.universalgoldpass.com, the card is purchased online for a fee ranging from $35 for an individual, $50 for a couple and $75 for a family. According to founder Mike Kebelbeck, the card can pay for itself with the first night's lodging and dining. After that, the discounts are money in the pocket of the visitor.
Discounts are available from a long list of businesses that are listed, along with their discounts, on the Web site. The listing includes more than 30 lodging choices and 20 restaurants, as well as visitor favorites like Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock Stage Company, Lees-McCrae Summer Theatre, Westglow Spa, and Tanger Shoppes on the Parkway.
"If someone waits until the last minute before a trip to purchase the card, they can request one online, and we'll have it waiting for them at their hotel," said Kebelbeck. "The card also makes a great gift, so we have an area on the Web site for people to purchase a gift certificate."
According to Kebelbeck, the card is good through Dec. 31, 2006. Cardholders will be reminded before the expiration date and given the opportunity to renew for 2007.
Interested people may visit the Web site, e-mail info@universalgoldpass.com or call toll-free 1.877.297.9995.
