Carrier Adding New Nonstops Connecting Nagoya to Guam, and Osaka to Guam and Saipan

TOKYO, June 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Northwest Airlines (NASDAQ:NWAC) announced today that it will introduce new daily nonstop service between Osaka, Japan and Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands, between Osaka and Guam, and between Nagoya, Japan and Guam.

The new service from Osaka, which begins on Oct. 1, 2005, complements existing service from Osaka to three international destinations including nonstop service to Northwest's WorldGateway hub at Detroit, nonstop service to Honolulu and nonstop service to Taipei, Taiwan.

The new service from Nagoya, which takes effect Nov. 1, 2005, complements existing service from Nagoya to four destinations including Detroit, Manila, Philippines, Saipan and Tokyo. Northwest flights to and from Nagoya are now operating from the new Central Japan International Airport, known as "Centrair."

Northwest's new service will be operated with the airline's Boeing 757- 200, with 20 seats in World Business Class and 162 seats in coach class.
