The PGA of America Extends Service Agreement With Travel Incorporated Division Through 2014
DULUTH, Ga., Aug. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- The Professional Golfers' Association of America has announced that it has extended its service agreement with Premier Golf to serve as the Official Travel Company of The PGA through the year 2014. Premier Golf, a division of the Duluth, Georgia travel management firm Travel Incorporated, has been The PGA's Official Travel Company since 1988.
As part of the agreement, Premier Golf will continue to provide a variety of travel-related services to the PGA and its membership. The company currently handles the travel management for PGA headquarters staff and PGA members as well as the Professional Golf Management certification program. Premier Golf is also the recognized leader in providing golf travel services to classic destinations throughout the world. Premier Golf is the only travel firm in North America that is authorized to offer official travel packages to the Ryder Cup.
The new agreement, which covers the next nine PGA Championships and five Ryder Cups, includes the expanded responsibility of all housing and transportation management for corporate sponsors to these major events. "Over the years, Premier Golf has continually demonstrated a commitment to service to our members as well as golf travelers and attendees of the Ryder Cup," said Jim Awtrey, Chief Executive Officer of The PGA of America. "We are pleased to be able to continue this long association."
