Philadelphia’s Stephen Starr Named ‘Restaurateur of the Year’ by Bon Appetit Magazine

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 12 /PRNewswire/ — The editors of Bon Appetit magazine have chosen Stephen Starr as “Restaurateur of the Year” in its October issue, which will be on newsstands nationwide on Tuesday, September 13. With 12 Philadelphia restaurants including Buddakan, Morimoto and Alma de Cuba to his credit, and currently celebrating his 10th anniversary in business, Starr has emerged as the country’s most prolific and influential restaurateur. With no signs of slowing down, Starr will grow his Starr Restaurant Organization in 2006 by opening two restaurants in New York City and three more in Atlantic City.
