WHITE PLAINS, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 02/03/2006 -- Any child lucky enough to go to Europe in February or March can ride free between EuroDisney-Paris-Brussels with a parent or other accompanying adult paying full fare in 1st or 2nd class on Thalys, the crimson high-speed train traversing northwestern Europe at 186 mph. This promotion is offered by Rail Europe for travel now through February 23 and March 6-10.

In fact, up to four children 4-11 years old can travel free with each paying adult with the Thalys Kids Ride Free promotion. This promotion is only available on the Paris-Brussels and Marne La Vallée (Disneyland Paris station)-Brussels routes and may not be booked for travel February 24-March 5.

Adult Thalys tickets for Paris/Marne La Vallé to Brussels start at $72US/$88 CAD one-way in 2nd class, $112US/$136 CAD one-way in 1st class.

Thalys takes just 1 hour 25 minutes to go from downtown Paris to Brussels, much of the journey made at 186 mph. Up to 27 trains travel between Paris and Brussels in each direction daily, making the service convenient as well as fast. Thalys also connects Paris and Brussels to other destinations in Belgium (such as Bruges), the Netherlands (Amsterdam) and Germany (Cologne).

Thalys ticket holders can take advantage of inexpensive connections to any rail station in Belgium using the Any Belgian Station (ABS) fare when this travel takes place on the same day. For example, a Thalys Any Belgian Station fare in 1st class between Marne La Vallée/Paris-Brussels and continuing on to Bruges, costs $122 US/$ 147 CAD (just $10 US/$12 CAD more than the above adult fare Paris-Brussels). Normally, a regular Paris-Bruges one-way fare costs $151 US/$ 182 CAD (1st).
