Red Wine and Chocolate – Feb. 18-20, 2006
A weekend for chocolate lovers! Take a trip to the Yakima Valley, just two hours southeast of Seattle. Pairing various dark chocolates with red wine make an incredible Valentine's Day gift. More than 52 wineries in the Yakima Valley Wine Country participate in this event Presidents' Day weekend.

Olympic Peninsula:
The North Sound Wineries Association, a group of 10 distinctive award-winning small wineries located two hours west of Seattle on the North Olympic Peninsula, Bainbridge and Whidbey Islands and Greenbank Farm, a local wine retailer, invites the public to celebrate Valentine’s Day by tasting some of Washington’s best red wines paired with chocolate. The Association has expanded the popular Red Wine & Chocolate event to two weekends this year, February 11-12 and 18-20, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online or at any participating winery/retail shop. Ticket holders are entitled to a commemorative wine glass, a souvenir button, and a waiver of all tasting fees.

Lake Chelan:
The wineries of Lake Chelan, located three hours northeast of Seattle, will again host a "Red Wine and Chocolate" event in February for two weekends, February 11-12 (Valentine's Weekend) and February 18-20 (President's Day weekend).
All Lake Chelan wineries will be open for this event, and most will be open between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. during these weekends. Each winery will present different types of chocolates to accompany their current Red Wine releases. Visitors to the wineries will be able to taste these combinations and learn what a delicious pairing red wine and chocolate can be.
