Come See What's New at the 17th Annual Fall Detroit Camper & RV Show!

Camper & RV Show Opens Today, Runs Through Sunday, Oct. 8
NOVI, MI -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 04, 2006 -- Class A motorhomes with marble counter tops, full bathrooms and optional bunk beds, 27- to 43-foot toy haulers to haul your snowmobiles, motorcycles or ATVs, and extra light travel trailers that have sleeping for nine. Come see these recreation vehicles and more at the 17th Annual Fall Detroit Camper & RV Show, which opens today at the Rock Financial Showplace in Novi.

The new 2007 RVs are more innovative and more fuel-efficient than ever. The new Gulf Stream Vista Cruiser gets 22 miles per gallon and the Pleasure Way Sprinter can go for 10,000 miles between oil changes and 30,000 miles between routine check-ups.

Come check out all the new 2007 RVs including folding campers, motorhomes, travel trailers, truck campers, park models and fifth wheel travel trailers. Display models range in price from $5,000 to more than $400,000. Special closeout pricing will be offered on 2006 models. Consumers can receive discounts of up to $5,000 on the purchase of an RV at the show. An expanded outdoor sales area will include diesel motor homes, toy haulers and used RVs. Booths with parts and accessories and free information on campgrounds and RV rentals will be set up at the show.

The new 2007 "RV & Campsite," a guide to camping in Michigan, will be available free to consumers. Consumers can also register to win free tickets to the show, compliments of Big Boy, at http://www.marvac.org. Take advantage of the exciting opportunity to see award-winning filmmaker and active RVer John Holod as he presents his films "East Coast RV Adventures: Maine to Key West" and "Alaska RV Adventures: Highway & Ferry." Also, Paws, the official mascot of the Detroit Tigers, will be at the show on Thursday, October 5 from 5 until 7 p.m.

The 17th Annual Fall Detroit Camper & RV Show will be held at the Rock Financial Showplace and is open weekdays 2-9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-9 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-6 p.m. The cost for adult admission (ages 13 and up) is $8; children ages 12 and under are admitted free! Seniors admitted for just $5 on Wednesday, October 4, and Thursday, October 5 (no coupon necessary).

The show is sponsored by the Michigan Association of Recreation Vehicles and Campgrounds (MARVAC), a member organization representing all aspects of the camping and RV industries.
