Situated a mere 35 Kilometers north east of Pretoria, the sanctuary is a most valuable game reserve set in the heart of the Dinokeng Greater wildlife region – an area the Gauteng Blue IQ Project have earmarked as the future BIG 5 reserve in the province!

(PRWEB) December 7, 2005 -- At a recent Preview Safari camp set up on the outskirts of Pretoria, Mr Peter Hayward, CEO of Hayward's Luxury Safari Events, announced plans to expand the safari operation into a world leader as regards eco friendly grand safari events.

During 2006 Hayward's we will be opening a new safari headquarters base just north of Pretoria - the Hayward's Safari Sanctuary and also a Safari Academy. Set in a wilderness reserve of 2500 acres and teeming with game, our new headquarters will be ideal for groups stopping over in Johannesburg and wishing to start or end their South African tour in pure safari decadence and style, he said. Groups can expect an action packed intervention within this all new wildlife region known as DINOKENG, Mr Hayward announced.

Mr Hayward then went on to say "We were once again honored to be voted "Best Environmental Responsibility Program 2005" by South Africa's Fedhasa Imvelho Awards - proving that big safari events can have minimal impact on a our fragile planet. It has taken years to respectfully build a safari organization that can take on these sorts of big group safari events and handle them truly professionally. We estimate well over 400 tons of equipment and over 40'000 items are moved into a safari region to create a Hayward's Grand Safari Event of dynamic proportions said Mr Hayward.

Dr Chris Marais from South African National Parks, and project leader for a dynamic colloborative effort with Hayward's was present and announced that Hayward's had been exclusively appointed to provide the Parks with a exemplary safari facility for their forthcoming "Leadership in Conservation' safari event set deep inside the Kruger - a first ever in their history. This project will entail taking VIP Conservation leaders into the park and set up a VIP private 120 bed camp - totally off the beaten track. We expect to do this first ever event during June 2006" said Dr Marais.
