(PRWEB) November 18, 2005 -- If you think that for most people, price is the number one factor when selecting a hotel, you would be wrong!
WeGoPlaces Tourism (http://www.WeGoPlaces.com) recently polled their visitors on the most important factors when selecting a hotel. The results may surprise you
Many people would think that price is the number one factor, but it isn’t. While price is in the top three, it followed cleanliness and appearance as the most important hotel selection factors. On a scale of one to five (one being the most important), cleanliness ranked the highest, averaging 1.28 with appearance ranking second at 1.78. One traveler summed it up best by saying that they look for “cozy, spacious and attractively decorated” accommodations.
The fourth most important factor turned out to be the availability of non-smoking rooms. “I knew that people ask specifically for non-smoking rooms, but I had no idea that it would be rated so importantly” says Dan Bolognani, Director of Sales & Marketing of the Interlaken Inn in Lakeville, Connecticut (http://www.InterlakenInn.com) “This is definitely going to help me shape my future promotion.”
What was the least important? The availability of a fitness center.
