SHANGHAI, China, July 3 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- ShanghaiTex 2006 will be held in the New International Exhibition Center of Shanghai, located in Pudong from July 5 to 8, 2006. It will consist of 4 exhibition halls measuring a total of 50,000 square meters. ShanghaiTex has become one of the largest and most authoritative textile exhibitions in Asia over the past 20 years, since its initiation in 1984. In view of market demand, the sponsors combined a series of professional textile exhibitions, such as the Shanghai International Clothes Industry Exhibition, Shanghai International Knitwear Industry Exhibition and China (Shanghai) International Textile Machinery Exhibition, into one large professional exhibition.
Before the opening of exhibition, organizers have implemented an online pre-registration system for audiences. They can obtain badges directly and be entitled to a free exhibition book in the pre-registration area instead of lining up to fill out forms, which will simplify the registration process. Those who choose the pre-registration system, simply by logging onto http://www.siec-ccpit.com/ , http://www.shanghaitex.cn/ or http://www.2456.com/shanghaitex .
Organizers have dispatched a trade liaison team to visit related associations and large corporations and enterprises located in provinces such as Shandong, Zhejiang, Hubei, Hunan and Jiangsu, with a journey totalling 7,000 kilometres, aimed at promoting and communicating policies of the exhibition and investigate client willingness and preparations for purchasing equipment during the exhibition, and at getting their appraisals on ShanghaiTex. During the exhibition, the organizers will have a trade liaison office to assist with the purchase of exhibits after the event comes to an end. In addition, organizers will arrange a free shuttle bus, a press centre and IPR office at the exhibition.
This ShanghaiTex will be divided into professional areas upon the request of exhibitors and audiences, i.e. an area for textile and chemical fibre machinery, an area for weaving machinery, an area for printing and dying machinery, an area for clothes machinery, an area for knitting machinery and an area for related spare parts, with a view to provide specialized equipment users a more comprehensive service.

The 2006 National Symposium on Modern Textile Technology Progress and Show of New Products, Public Lectures on New Dying and Conditioning Chemicals and Equipment, National Meeting on Modern Weaving High- Tech and Air-Jet Looms, the Annual Meeting of Technical Cooperation Network for Hydraulic Looms, and Public Lectures on New Technology and Equipment for New Type Spinning and the 9th Large Exchange Meeting on New Type Spinning Technology will all be held.
