SkyWest Announces Additional Flying for United Airlines

ST. GEORGE, Utah, April 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — SkyWest Airlines, Inc., (NASDAQ:SKYW) announced that it has been selected to fly an additional 20 CRJ700 aircraft for United Airlines in its United Express operations. The CRJ700 is a regional jet aircraft manufactured by Bombardier Aerospace and will be delivered in a 66-seat configuration with 6 First Class seats. It is anticipated that the aircraft will begin delivering in the third quarter of 2005 with deliveries being completed by the first quarter of 2006. These new aircraft are in addition to the 32 CRJ700 aircraft previously awarded to SkyWest. Also, the aircraft will operate under SkyWest’s existing United Express agreement and the company will be compensated for the additional flights under a contract flying arrangement with United Airlines. As a result of this additional regional jet flying, it is anticipated that SkyWest will have a total of 52 CRJ700 aircraft, 65 CRJ200 aircraft and 50 EMB120 Brasilia aircraft operating in its United Express system by February 2006.
