Now Seattle's Mayflower Park Hotel Is Totally Non-Smoking
SEATTLE, June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Due to popular demand, Oliver's, Seattle's award-winning classic cocktail lounge recently kicked the smoking habit. Oliver's has joined the rest of the Mayflower Park Hotel, as well as Andaluca Restaurant, as being an entirely non-smoking establishment.
"Many of our customers wrote letters and e-mailed us saying they wanted a smoke-free environment, and being that we cater to the needs of our guests, we were happy to comply. All of our renovated 171 guest rooms are non-smoking and have been for over two years. Our guests have been continually asking why Oliver's lounge wasn't non-smoking as well. Now that Oliver's is non-smoking, the Mayflower Park Hotel is one of Seattle's first hotels to go entirely smoke-free," said Paul J. Ishii, general manager of the hotel, "We are thankful that our customers took the time to let us know their thoughts."
Oliver's is located in the beautifully renovated Mayflower Park Hotel, one of the last remaining locally owned and independent hotels in the Seattle area. It is a member of The National Trust Historic Hotels of America(R) that includes such other notables as The Greenbrier in West Virginia; The Brown Palace in Denver; and Hotel del Coronado in California. The hotel is also home to Seattle's Best Mediterranean Restaurant, Andaluca Restaurant, which has always been non-smoking.
Built in 1927 and located at 405 Olive Way in Seattle's retail core, the historic Mayflower Park Hotel is operated by local owners Birney and Marie Dempcy and managed by Paul Ishii, General Manager.
