South African Airways Announces $807 Roundtrip Inaugural Fare From Washington Dulles to Johannesburg

SAA Launches Washington Gateway With Lowest Fare of the Year

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., April 4 /PRNewswire/ -- South African Airways, South Africa's premier airline and the continent's most awarded carrier, is celebrating the July launch of its new route between Washington Dulles and Johannesburg, South Africa, with a special Inaugural Fare of $807*. This special fare is valid for roundtrip travel in Economy Class, and also allows passengers the option of continuing service to Cape Town at no additional charge.

The $807* Inaugural Fare is available now on flights originating from Washington Dulles and departing July 2nd through August 15th. A minimum five day stay is required, with a maximum stay of 30 days permitted. Tickets are non-refundable, are not transferable, and cannot be used for unaccompanied minors.

South African Airways' new Washington -- Johannesburg route will feature the return of the popular Boeing 747-400 to the airline's US service, as well as a three-class service including lie-flat seats in both First and Business Class. Featuring four flights a week from the Washington Dulles gateway, this new route is an addition to South African Airways' current daily flights from New York's JFK International Airport and Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

The new service will depart from Washington Dulles on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, with return service from Johannesburg on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Flights between Washington Dulles and Johannesburg will also include a brief operational fuel stop in Accra, Ghana.
