Southwest Airlines Offers California DING! Fares as Low as $29 One-Way; Southwest Airlines Thanks Its California Customers With Special DING! Fares

DALLAS, Oct. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- For two days only, Southwest's (NYSE:LUV) California Customers can take advantage of DING!-only airfares as low as $29 one-way and no higher than $119 one-way. Most of California's destination markets are on sale to thank California for making Southwest Airlines the number one intra-California carrier for 13 consecutive years. These fares are customized for California DING! subscribers and will only be available for purchase on Wednesday, Oct. 12, and Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005, so Customers must act fast. The DING! sale begins Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 9 a.m. Central Time and ends Friday, Oct. 14 at 2 a.m. Central Time, and are valid for travel from Oct. 19, 2005, through Feb. 3, 2006. (Orange County's John Wayne Airport is not included in this fare sale.)

* $29 to $47 one-way fares are available between Burbank and Las Vegas,
between Burbank and Oakland, and between Burbank and Phoenix.
* $79 to $87 one-way fares are available between Burbank and
Baltimore/Washington, between Burbank and Portland, and between
Burbank and Seattle.
* $94 to $119 one-way fares are available between Burbank and Chicago,
between Burbank and Kansas City, and between Burbank and Islip/Long
Island.

Los Angeles Fare Examples:
* $29 to $47 one-way fares are available between Los Angeles and Las
Vegas, between Los Angeles and Oakland, and between Los Angeles and
Phoenix.
* $84 to $96 one-way fares are available between Los Angeles and
Chicago, between Los Angeles and Philadelphia, and between Los Angeles
and Seattle.
* $94 to $116 one-way fares are available between Los Angeles and
Nashville, Los Angeles and Orlando, and Los Angeles and Pittsburgh.

Oakland Fare Examples:
* $29 to $47 one-way fares are available between Oakland and Burbank,
between Oakland and Los Angeles, and between Oakland and Reno/Tahoe.
* $67 to $96 one-way fares are available between Oakland and
Baltimore/Washington, between Oakland and Chicago, between Oakland and
Las Vegas, and between Oakland and Philadelphia.
* $94 to $119 one-way fares are available between Oakland and Austin,
between Oakland and Orlando, and between Oakland and Pittsburgh.

The fares are available for purchase today, from 9 a.m. Central Time until Friday, Oct. 14 at 2 a.m. Central Time through the DING! application only, and are valid for travel from Oct. 19, 2005, through Feb. 3, 2006. Fares are available one-way. Seats are limited. Fares may vary by flight and day of week and will not be available on some flights that operate during very busy travel times. Fares do not include a $3.20 federal segment tax per takeoff and landing. Fares do not include airport-assessed passenger facility charges (PFC) of up to $9 one-way and U.S. government-imposed September 11th Security Fees of up to $5 one-way. Fares are subject to change until ticketed. Tickets are nonrefundable but may be applied toward the purchase of future travel on Southwest Airlines. Fares are valid on Southwest-operated published, scheduled service only and are not available through the Group Desk. Any change in itinerary may result in an increase in fare.
