Southwest Airlines Offers $49 One-Way Fares in Select California Markets; Southwest Airlines Showers Customers with Super Low Fares for Spring

DALLAS, March 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Don't put your umbrellas away just yet because Southwest Airlines (NYSE:LUV) is showering Californians with super low fares for spring. These low $49 one-way fares are only offered on http://www.southwest.com/ and will be available for a limited time. California travelers can take advantage of these super low fares between the following cities:

* Burbank and Oakland, San Jose, or Sacramento
* Los Angeles and Oakland, San Jose, or Sacramento
* Ontario and Oakland, San Jose, or Sacramento
* San Diego and Oakland, San Jose, or Sacramento

"Spring has arrived and low fares are blooming on southwest.com," said Joyce Rogge, Southwest's senior vice president of marketing. "With fares this low, Southwest Customers will be able to stop and smell the flowers from Oakland down to San Diego."

The internet-only fares are available for purchase March 17, 2005, through April 21, 2005, and are valid for travel from March 29, 2005, through August 3, 2005. Tickets must be purchased at least 14 days before departure. Seats are limited and will not be available on some flights that operate during very busy travel times and holiday periods. Fares do not include a $3.20 segment fee per takeoff and landing. Fares do not include airport- assessed passenger facility charges of up to $9 one-way and federal September 11 security fee of up to $5 one-way. Tickets are nonrefundable but may be applied toward the purchase of future travel on Southwest Airlines. Fares are valid on published, scheduled service only. Fares may be purchased one-way and may be combined with other fares. When combining fares, all ticketing restrictions apply. Any change in itinerary will result in an increase in fare. Fares are not available through the Group Desk and are not necessarily common rated in the Bay Area or the LA Basin. Orange County is not included.
