Southwest Airlines Continues Ramp Up of New Orleans Service

DALLAS, Jan. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Southwest Airlines (NYSE:LUV) announced today the addition of five new flights from New Orleans to Dallas, Houston, and Orlando. The five additional flights break down as follows:

Beginning March 17, 2006:
* Three new daily nonstop flights between New Orleans and Houston Hobby
(for a total of eight daily).
* One new daily nonstop flight between New Orleans and Orlando (for a
total of three daily).
* One new daily nonstop flight between New Orleans and Dallas (for a
total of three daily).

In 2006, Southwest Airlines will support New Orleans with more than just new flights. In February, Southwest Airlines will become one of the first corporations to plan a major meeting in the city when it sends nearly 300 of its Employees to New Orleans for an annual three-day marketing conference and community outreach effort.

The heart of Southwest Airlines and its 31,000-plus Employees remains with the citizens of New Orleans. With today’s announcement, Southwest Airlines will offer 18 daily nonstop flights from New Orleans to five cities, including Dallas, Houston, Nashville, Orlando, and Tampa Bay with direct or connecting flights to 40 cities.
