Historic Ski Town Takes Vacation Experience to New High
Stowe, Vermont (August 1, 2006) Long regarded as the heart and soul of this legendary ski town, the village of Stowe is taking the Vermont vacation experience to a new level. Along with the multi-million dollar renovation of Stowe Mountain Resort, Stowe business owners and town planners are stepping it up with everything from new sidewalks and bike lanes on Mountain Road, a state of the art indoor swimming pool, new restaurants, expanded shopping, and renovations at local lodging properties.
"The entire village is swept up in the excitement over the dramatic changes taking places up at the mountain," said Valerie Rochon, Executive Director of Stowe Area Association.
