Ranked #1 City in the World by Conde Nast Traveler Readers
NEW YORK, Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The same day Sydney unveiled its newest attraction -- Skywalk -- a star-studded ceremony at one of New York's spectacular icons named Sydney the Best City in the World by 28,000 discerning Conde Nast Traveler readers.
At the event, held in the Temple of Dendur at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Tim Curry (The Rocky Horror Picture Show movie and Spamelot on Broadway) summed up the readers' sentiment, "Sydney is the most liveable city in the world," he said.
Leading a field of world-renowned cities, including San Francisco, Florence and Bangkok, Sydney was ranked via a survey of Conde Nast Traveler readers on a variety of criteria, including ambience, friendliness, culture/sites, restaurants, lodging, and shopping.
