Tamarack Resort Builds on Successful Winter Season With Rich Array of Summer Activities

Lodging Packages Available, Season Pass Holders Entitled to Free Access to Lifts, Biking and Hiking Trails

DONNELLY, Idaho, May 17 /PRNewswire/ — Tamarack Resort, the nation’s newest all-season vacation destination, is following its successful inaugural winter season with a greatly expanded summer recreation program.

New this year are lakefront facilities including ski boat, sail boat, pontoon, and kayak rentals, lake swimming-complete with a beachfront cabana with snacks and beverages-and lift-served hiking and biking. In addition, Tamarack has established partnerships with leading Idaho outfitters allowing packaging of its lodging products with on-site and off-site activities such as fishing, horseback riding, and rafting Idaho’s spectacular whitewater rivers. Tamarack has also opened a group sales service to host weddings and business meetings enhanced by unique mountain recreation opportunities and high-end lodging.

A Tamarack Summer Pass is available to adults for $90 and to kids for $50. The pass provides unlimited access for bikers and hikers to lift-served trails and Tamarack’s renowned single-track trails — built with the International Mountain Biking Association — on the lower Mountain Meadow Park. As an added perk, Winter 2005-06 season pass-holders have been awarded Summer Pass privileges at no extra charge.

To experience the full range of summer activities, Tamarack is offering the Adventure Pass. Priced at $69 for adults/$49 for children, it provides access to any combination of the 10 following activities: full-day hike access; full-day bike access; bike and helmet rental; two-hour kayak tour; one Euro-bungee session; one climbing wall session; two round trip Tamarack Valley County bus passes; or, two movie passes.

A soft opening of Tamarack Resort’s Robert Trent Jones II signature course — with a limited number of holes — is expected in early July. The course has emerged from the snow without damage. The first fairways have been mowed and crews are now seeding the remaining fairways and shaping the final bunkers. The full 18-holes will be playable by Labor Day weekend.
