US Helicopter is the first scheduled helicopter airport shuttle service in more than a decade to provide travel between Manhattan and NYC area airports, with an average flight time of eight minutes. The service is designed to meet the needs of time-sensitive business travelers worldwide who would otherwise spend upwards of two hours or more (each-way) traveling in a taxi, town car or limo. Dedicated, non-interfering flight paths ensure reliable on-time departures and arrivals.

US Helicopter also saves travelers time, stress and the frustration of airline and airport security lines. Passengers are screened by federally regulated TSA security at the heliport, and flights land on the secure side of the airport, at JFK’s American Airlines terminal. Those traveling via the American Airlines global network and departing from Terminal 9, are checked-in at the Manhattan Heliport, where they obtain boarding passes and baggage receipts to their final destination, eliminating the need to go through customary airport security at JFK. Inbound American Airlines passengers receive a boarding passes and baggage receipts for both their American Airlines and US Helicopter flights, completing check-in to the Downtown Manhattan Heliport.

In April, service will expand to include flights from the East 34th Street Heliport to JFK. Service to and from LaGuardia and Newark Airports will commence in the second and third quarters 2006, respectively.
