i-to-i Travel Launches Meaningful Train Tours across Asia
Combine volunteering and seeing the sites in India and China.
(PRWEB) September 22, 2006 -- Leading experiential travel provider i-to-i is offering people a journey with a difference with the launch of its latest travel and volunteer combo -- meaningful train tours.
There will be a choice of two 15-day tours running through either China or India. The tours will offer a unique opportunity to combine adventure travel with worthwhile work, giving travellers the chance to see the ‘real’ country as well as offer much needed aid to underprivileged communities.
The China experience will take in Beijing, Xi-an and Shanghai, visiting top tourist attractions such as The Great Wall, The Forbidden City, Terracotta Warriors, The Yuyan Garden and The Bund along the way. The India experience will incorporate Kolkata, Varanasi, Delhi, Agra and Jaipur and will visit the breathtaking Taj Mahal, Varanasi and The Red Fort.
Travellers will get a chance to try their hand at various community development projects along the way -- experiencing a taster for the world of volunteering, sharing cultural exchanges and turning their travels into truly meaningful experiences.
Deirdre Bounds, i-to-i founder comments “we are extremely excited by the launch of meaningful train tours and hope they will open up the world of volunteering to a much wider audience. Travelling by train is a great way to cover vast distances in a relatively short time so these tours are perfect if you’re itchy to explore but don’t have the time to take a long trip.”
The India and China Train Experiences each cost £925 and include accommodation, TEFL training, orientation, accommodation, meals and insurance. The India Train Experience will run from November 06 and the China Train Experience from December 06.
