United Airlines Ready to Accommodate Disserviced Northwest Customers

United Offers Additional Travel Options to Northwest Ticket-holders

CHICAGO, Aug. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — United Airlines (BULLETIN BOARD: UALAQ.OB) is ready to meet the needs of Northwest Airlines’ ticketed passengers affected by the strike at Northwest Airlines.

“United has put policies in place to accommodate Northwest’s disserviced customers and help get them where they need to be,” said John Tague, United’s executive vice president of Marketing, Sales and Revenue. “We understand that any disruption to business travel or end-of-summer vacations inconveniences customers, and we welcome them to United.”

United will accommodate Northwest Airlines passengers holding paper tickets valid for travel on Northwest Airlines or one of its domestic codeshare partners. Travel on United must match the passengers’ ticketed itinerary, including travel dates. In circumstances where a passenger cannot be rerouted to the destination shown on their original ticket, United will accept tickets to and from an alternate destination that is within a 300-mile radius of the original ticketed city.

Northwest customers holding e-tickets can obtain a paper ticket from Northwest Airlines or their travel agent.

For more information on re-accommodation options, customers can visit www.united.com/traveloptions or call 1-800-UNITED1 or their travel agents.
