US Airways Resumes Normal Operations at All Gulf State Airports Except New Orleans

ARLINGTON, Va., Aug. 31 /PRNewswire/ — US Airways and US Airways Express have resumed normal flight schedules in all cities served in the Central and Eastern Gulf Coast region, with the exceptions of New Orleans, following Hurricane Katrina. New Orleans service has been canceled at this time through the originating flight on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005.

US Airways and US Airways Express operations in Pensacola, Fla., and Birmingham, Huntsville, and Montgomery, Ala., returned to normal yesterday. Flights to and from Mobile, Ala., resumed with the originating flights this morning, and Jackson, Miss., service will resume later this morning, with US Airways Express flight 2741 arriving from Charlotte, N.C., at approximately noon, Central time.

Although service has largely resumed, US Airways’ flexible travel policy remains in effect for customers traveling to and from many Gulf State destinations. Details of airports covered and allowed itinerary changes are available on US Airways’ Web site at
