US Airways Invites You to Put Down Your Snow Shovel and Relax on the White Sands of the Aloha State

TEMPE, Ariz., Dec. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — US Airways (NYSE:LCC) today inaugurates service between its Phoenix hub and Honolulu, Oahu and Kahului, Maui. US Airways now offers 94 non-stop destinations from its Phoenix hub, making it a simple one-stop connection to the fiftieth state for customers all over the US Airways route network which spans the United States.

“This is a monumental day for the new US Airways as we celebrate not only our new service to the island paradise of Hawaii, but also the first destination added to our route network since the America West/US Airways merger closed in September,” remarked US Airways Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing Scott Kirby. “Our dedicated employees have worked tirelessly to make this day a reality and today, the outcome of their efforts is realized.

“Customers, especially our loyal frequent flyers, value a broad choice of destinations and Hawaii adds to our robust route network — already the most extensive of any low-cost carrier — which now spans 11 time zones throughout the United States, Europe and Latin America,” continued Kirby.
