US Airways Continues to Lower Fares in Its East Coast Markets

Airline Releases Another Wave of Fare Reductions of Up to 55 Percent to Nearly 20 Additional Markets

TEMPE, Ariz., Jan. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — US Airways (NYSE:LCC) today announced it has slashed fares to nearly 20 destinations connected to its eastern hubs of Charlotte, N.C., Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh and also at New York’s LaGuardia. This follows a similar reduction of nearly 20 markets earlier this month. Fares are available immediately and can be booked at www.usairways.com, by calling 800-428-4322 or through a travel agent.

“An overwhelmingly positive response from our customers and a positive revenue impact for the airline has prompted us to continue spreading our consumer-friendly pricing structure across even more of our network,” said Scott Kirby, executive vice president, sales and marketing. “We’ve made great strides in introducing a low cost pricing structure to many East Coast markets that were not previously served by a low-cost carrier.”
