US Airways Begins Nonstop Service to Venice
ARLINGTON, Va., May 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- US Airways today launches its new seasonal daily nonstop service between Philadelphia and Venice, bringing customers convenient access to one of the most romantic and unique cities in Europe.
The inaugural flight will depart Philadelphia at 5:55 p.m., arriving in Venice at 8:20 a.m., the following morning. The return flight will depart Venice at 11 a.m., tomorrow, and will arrive in Philadelphia at 2:45 p.m. The Venice service is flown using Boeing 767-200ER aircraft with 173 seats in Coach Class and 23 seats in Envoy Class, and will operate daily through Oct. 28, 2005.
Also this month, US Airways will resume its seasonal summer service to Dublin, Glasgow, and Shannon, and will begin new nonstop service to Barcelona on May 16, 2005.
US Airways is Philadelphia's largest carrier, offering 494 nonstop daily departures to over 100 destinations. In addition to its seasonal European schedule, US Airways operates year-round service between Philadelphia and Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, Madrid, Manchester, Munich, Paris and Rome.
