US Airways Offers Special Web-Based Fares for Premium Travel to Barcelona

ARLINGTON, Va., April 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — US Airways is offering a special web-based $1,999* roundtrip fare for Envoy Class travel to Barcelona from its full U.S. network, making premium travel to one of Europe’s most vibrant cities more affordable. US Airways will begin new nonstop Philadelphia-Barcelona service on May 16, 2005.

Under this sale, tickets must be purchased by April 18, 2005. Travel is valid May 16-June 16, and Sept. 12-Oct. 28, 2005. Travel must be completed by Oct. 28, 2005.

*Taxes and fees: Fares shown are valid for purchases made at usairways.com. Tickets purchased through US Airways telephone reservations are $5 higher. Tickets purchased at US Airways airports or city ticket offices are $10 higher. These sale fares are available only via usairways.com, US Airways Reservations and from Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre, Worldspan travel agencies. Fares do not include a federal excise tax of $3.20, which will be imposed on each flight segment of the itinerary — a flight segment is defined as a takeoff and a landing. Fares do not include the September 11th Security Fee of up to $10 per itinerary; up to $18 in airport passenger facility charges where applicable; or international taxes and fees of up to $56.

Sale fare requirements: Fares require roundtrip Envoy Class travel. Tickets must be purchased at least 14 days before travel, within 24 hours of making the reservation, and no later than April 18, 2005. A Saturday-night stay is required, and a maximum 30-day stay is allowed.

After the initial reservation, cancellations or changes are permitted for up to 24 hours; after 24 hours, tickets become nonrefundable. If the entire reservation is canceled on or before the scheduled date of travel, the ticket will retain value and can be used toward another nonrefundable ticket less a $200 administrative fee, up to one year after its original issue date. New travel must originate within one year from the date of issue. Any subsequent changes to the exchanged tickets will incur at minimum an additional $200 fee. If the reservation is not canceled on or before the original travel date, the entire ticket will have no further value. Tickets are non-transferable. Seats are limited and may be sold out on some flights or dates or during holiday periods. Lower fares may be available in these markets. Fares are not available in all markets. Other conditions may apply.
